• Paper doilies make great substitutes for fancy circle dies.
  • For a shadow effect, die-cut letters from colored card and then again from black or gray card.  Off-set the black or gray letters behind the colored ones and stick to your base.
  • Die-cuts can be embellished by coloring with markers, chalks, watercolors etc. and enhanced with glitter, pastes, Glossy Accents, etc.
  • To prevent your card from getting stuck in an intricate die, place a sheet of wax paper between the die and the card.
  • Investing in sets of circles, squares and ovals is smart as you will use these shapes over and over again.
  • Die-cutting photographs is fast and an easy way to frame them.
